An Old Bio

March 9th, 2008 by FzV

Way back when, I was in a wonderful band Called "Aeris", We did amazing things, played music that was as complicated as it was amazing, and more importantly we stuck to what we wanted to play musicially, even if it meant being misunderstood and ignored. I Pulled this gem up out of a Internet Archive site, This is a Bio I had written for the old Aeris site, It's an Absolute Thrill to see my mindset in that time.... A snapshot of Thought.

Here it is in it's Entirety

---

Name - FuZaVue

Position in the band - Lead Guitarist, Orchestrations

Date of birth - June 7th 1978

Age - 24

Nicknames - FuZaVue / FzV

place of residence - Port Lavaca Texas for the next 2 years then I'm off to Houston!

Grew up - As the dependant of a Us marine, hence I never really lived anywhere for very long, the second I got comfortable
somewhere it was time to move again. That meant saying good bye to everyone every time. I've lived a life of farewells, so
sometimes I don't like to say hello and I do dislike goodbyes.

Years playing instrument/singing, musical background - 8 years playing guitar, I've dabbled into a lot of everything ever
since, I've been playing the bass guitar ever since I picked up the guitar pretty much. I played bass for the jazz band for
a year when I was in high school... more or less it was an excuse to have a class I could take my electric guitar too and
practice without being  berated for it.

I started playing when I was 16 almost 17, I started out trying to learn Megadeth songs!
wasn't very easy I assure you, wasn't too long after that I learned/heard about the A minor scale, I spent months playing
it over and over and over and over every position on the neck, wasn't long after that I was ripping that scale up. Then my
playing didn't grow too much for a bunch of years, I kept up my chops but never furthered my knowledge really. Wasn't
untill I moved to Port Lavaca that I really begin to take music seriously. I studied for an entire year without
distractions, I made more progress in that one year the I did in the previous six. I'm still debating whether or not to do
that again..... I'm about to start college to get my degree in music, I'm very excited about this prospect and am looking
forward to becoming a serious musician not only in the eyes of fans but also in the eyes of Professors and contemporaries.
I would like to compose down the line for Film. Or perhaps compose a truly great opera. There are only 2 things that are
certain for me musically, no matter what I'm looking to constantly improve my guitar playing ability with every passing day,
and I'm NOT CUTTING MY HAIR EVER!!!!!

Instruments played - Guitar, Bass, somewhat piano, somewhat drums

Instruments soon to be played - PIANO! VIOLIN! Recorder! <--- Music fundamentals class!

Bands inspired by - Danzig, Cradle of Filth, Nightwish, Cacophony, Jason Becker, Iron Maiden, Stratovarius, Steve Vai,
Paco De Lucia, Marshall Harrison, Yngwie Malmsteen, basically these are all bands/artists, that make me want to PLAY the
guitar, as opposed to just listen to the music.

Dream band, 2 guitars, bass, drummer, keyboardist, vocalist
Guitar: Jason Becker
Guitar: Timo Tolkki
Bass: Bass Player McGee
Drummer: Terry Bozzio
Keyboards: The guy from Yngwies Band
Vocalist: KRISTY THIRSK!!!!!!!!!

Best gig attended - Cradle of Filth in Los Angeles, October of 98, it was for the cruelty and the beast lineup, by far
their best album/lineup. The show was intense, and I spent the whole thing front row center! Dani kicked some guy in the
cranium! The only bad thing was I couldn't get dani to give me the horns, but it's ok, this past danzig show in corpus
Glenn gave me the horns 3 times!! It was the turning point in my life because I had just spent a year in solitary studying
the guitar, and that was like the "sign" of Glenn telling me I was ready to join a band/get a project going, THANKS GLENN!

Best gig - Honestly, everyone I play gets better and better, be it Aeris or Issac and I playing classical guitar gigs

E-mail - Fuzavue@yahoo.com

Hobbies - No real hobbies really, mainly most of my time is dedicated to music. Either studying guitar, or doing ear
training exercises, or studying theory. I am currently getting myself ready to take piano class, and I'm excited at the fact
that I'm going to get private guitar lessons at the college. I play video games sometimes, I'm not that good though!!!! So
the kind of keeps me from playing them all to often : )
I think my only real hobby is to use the program "band in the box" to make up a chord progress/theme and pick a crazy key
and then see what I can improv over it. Cuz improv's are coooool!

Former occupation - Waiter at the Hard Rock Cafe in San Antonio on the Riverwalk , Member of the San Antonio "Sin 13" team

alone will bring you eternal happiness. I live my life day to day, and I take the guitar with me :)
